Can't Stop the Love of A Boss 3 Page 5

“Can I come in, so we can talk?” Cornelius asked.

“Fuck no. Say what you gotta say,” Uncle Jimmy said as he stepped out of the house and closed the door behind him.

“Damn, it’s like that?” he asked Uncle Jimmy.

“You said you wanted to talk, so talk,” Uncle Jimmy said with his arms folded across his chest.

“I’m here to request a sit down with you, Allen, and Murder,” Cornelius said, finally getting to the point.

  “What for?” Uncle Jimmy asked.

“If you can convince Murder to come, I’m sure he knows what it’s about,” he told Jimmy.

“If he knows then why the hell you’re not at his fucking door? That should’ve been where your ass went instead of here. Either you tell me the reason for it, or I will damn sure stop it from happening. What you gonna do, Corn?” Uncle Jimmy said, calling Cornelius by his nickname.

“It looks like Laura was the one who shot Murder the other night. Now Murder has a price on her head. We need a sit down so there’s no more bloodshed,” he answered.

“Why you just didn’t tell the bitch not to shoot Murder? It’s just like her ass to do some shit then come to you because she thinks you can smooth shit over. You know just like I do that there ain’t no damn smoothing this one over. Hold up, let me get my phone so I can call him,” Uncle Jimmy said before going in the house. He came back out with the phone in his hand. After dialing the number, he put the phone on speaker and waited for Murder to answer.

  “What up, Unc?”

“Corn is over here trying to have a sit down with us, them, and Laura. I got you on speaker,” Uncle Jimmy said.

“They must have her ass tucked away good because I got everybody looking for the bitch. Who’s supposed to pick a place and time for her to try to lie her way out of this?” Murder asked.

“You can pick all that shit if it makes you feel more comfortable,” Cornelius told Murder.

“It ain’t about me being comfortable. If it was about that then I would be holding Law-Baby’s hand as we picked out her mama’s casket. Or better yet, I would be paying somebody for offing the bitch. Now, are you sure you want me to pick this shit or not? It’s a simple yes or no. Don’t try to run that weak ass game on me, old head,” Murder said.

Uncle Jimmy chuckled at the facial expression that Cornelius wore as Murder talked. Leave it up to his nephew to snatch a smug ass look off a man’s face without even knowing it.

“Yeah, um, you can still pick it,” Cornelius said, stuttering a little bit.

“Okay, meet us at my warehouse tomorrow night at seven. Bring that bitch and her conniving ass sister with y’all, or there ain’t gonna be shit to talk about,’’ Murder said before ending the call.

Jimmy turned and walked into the house, leaving Cornelius on the porch.

“Is everything okay, Jimmy?” Ms. Ella asked as he came back in the house.

“Yeah, I just gotta handle some shit with Murder tomorrow night,” he told her.

“How are him and Lawrynn doing?”

“He sounded like everything was all good. Is the food done yet?” he asked. The last thing he wanted to do right now was talk about his nephew and his woman. Ms. Ella giggled at him because all he wanted to do was eat and have sex.

“Not yet. You have another twenty minutes before we can eat. Now, go look at television or something. Let me finish cooking in peace,” Ms. Ella told him.

“You better be happy I don’t feel like going back and forth with you, woman. I’m living my best life,” Uncle Jimmy sang as he did a two-step out of the kitchen.

Ms. Ella shook her head, thankful that they were both enjoying what they had going on.

Murder ended the call with his uncle just to hear the doorbell chime.

“Who the fuck is it?” he called out.

“It’s me, LJ,” the voice said from the other side.

“What up? Let me go get Law-Baby for you,” Murder said as he opened the door wider for LJ to come in.

“Hold up a minute. I came to see you,” he said, causing Murder to stop in his tracks.

“Oh, if it’s about the meet up or whatever, I already talked to Corn about it on the phone. Is that what you were going to talk about?” Murder asked.

  “Yeah, that was it.”

“Check it out, right. There’s a lot of shit I don’t understand about your damn family. With everything going on, you’re just now coming over here. On top of that, you’re not even here to see about her now. You’re here behind your flawed ass mama. That fact alone makes you look as flawed as her ass is. I don’t see how Lawrynn can even deal with y’all on any level,” Murder fussed in a calm tone.

“Man, we always gonna be family, so she don’t have a choice,” LJ said with confidence.

“Family? Nigga, having the same blood don’t make you family. Once we get married, she won’t share the same name with y’all snake asses. None of y’all know what the word family means. Y’all most definitely have life and us fucked up if you think y’all gonna keep hurting her and shit then wanna holler about how y’all family. You might wanna go ask your mama if you got any other siblings out there since she’s into hiding kids and shit. Better yet, just get the fuck out. You came about the meeting, right? Well you got your answer about that. Go run tell Cruella DeVille to talk to Corn. He has the details. Y’all doing all this for her, and I bet she wouldn’t hesitate to sell y’all asses out like she did her own sister,” Murder said.

“Murder’s right, LJ. You and Lamelle didn’t even come to the hospital to see about me. You’re standing here for the sake of our mother, and not once did you even ask about me. I haven’t even talked to our mother or auntie in days. I might not have a choice in who I’m related to, but I damn sure can choose who I deal with. I can lead by example when it comes to shit like this. I’ll be damned if I ever beg you motherfuckers to deal with me. I don’t care what goes down in the future, you just make sure you keep that same fucked up energy that you just had when you see me again. Now get the fuck out,” she told her brother.

LJ looked like he was going to say something back, but Murder stepped in and started talking.

“Watch what the fuck you about to say to her. She might be your sister, but she’s my life. I don’t mind killing a nigga for hurting her feelings and shit. If you make her cry, I get to take your punk ass life,” Murder said.

LJ didn’t want any smoke with Murder. Well, not yet at least. He turned to go out the door just as he was told. Murder shook his head as the door closed. He turned to see Lawrynn standing there looking at him with sad eyes.

“Yeah, you don’t have a choice in who your blood relatives are. If I could, I wouldn’t have chosen those motherfuckers. I thought the boys would’ve been different, though. All this stuff coming out about my mama, and they’re still trying to protect her. It doesn’t make sense, but with them, nothing does anymore,” she told him.

Murder walked over and pulled Lawrynn into a comforting hug. He wanted to take away all her pain, but he knew he couldn’t kill her whole family. Even with all this shit that they were doing, they were still her relatives. They were gonna have to learn one way or another that Murder was definitely family when it came to Law-Baby.

Connie was making her rounds one last time before it was time for her to go home. She was finishing a long ass forty-eight hour shift at the hospital. Even though this was a hard shift to work, it came right on time for her. She was too busy to even think about Pain. When she got home, she would most likely sleep for most of the following day. Her phone was in her locker, so she didn’t have a clue if Pain had even tried to get in contact with her. She was attempting to put some distance between the two of them. It wasn’t that she didn’t like him because she did like him a little bit too much.

Walking to the locker room to get her phone, she used the time to plan what she had to do when she got home. Grocery shopping would have to wait. The only thing on her agenda was a
drive-thru combo meal, a shower, and her bed. She could handle all her errands and things when she got up.

“Connie,” she heard from behind her.

“Why are you here, Pain? You know where I live, but you always come find me here. Why is that?” she asked

“You’re always here, that’s why,” he answered.

Pain was right; she had been working crazy hours.

  “What do you need?”

“Can we go in the office, and then I’ll tell you what I want?” he asked.

Pain just wanted to let her know what he had been thinking the past few days. The time they spent not talking to each other had done them both some good. Now it was up to Pain to let her know what he had going on. She let him in the office and closed the door behind him.

“Talk,” she told him with her hands on her hips.

“You asked me what I wanted, right? Well, I want you. I want there to eventually be an us. I know you felt some type of way after our little disagreement that night,” he told her.

“That wasn’t a disagreement. You let her talk to me sideways. When we got in the car, you let me know that I was out of line for even saying anything. Was I just supposed to let her talk to you like that? She was basically blaming you for her man getting shot,” Connie fussed.

“If you knew the history you would understand that she had valid reasons for coming to that conclusion. I’m sure she wasn’t the only one thinking that I did it. She just happened to see me when she was in her feelings. You’re right, it’s not your place yet to step in on anything on my behalf. When and if we get together officially, then you can go hard in the paint for me whenever you want. For right now, just let me handle shit like that. I do want to apologize for how I came at you that night. You were only trying to help,” he told her.

“Okay, I’m guessing you’re still gonna hang around these people after we get together,” she stated.

“Yeah, why wouldn’t I? Look, regardless of what they may have thought that I did, they will still have my back if I needed it. All of that was just a misunderstanding. I’ve talked to Murder, and he knows exactly who shot him. Once I left from seeing him, I chilled out and thought about what I wanted out of us. You know I’ve had problems with being faithful in the past, but after all this bullshit, I’m through with all of that. I know my words don’t matter. I’m gonna show you, though, as long as you let me,” Pain told her.

“The first time something causes red flags to go up with what we’re trying to build, I’m gonna go upside your head. The second time, I’m out, period,” she told him.

Connie was way past the fight for your man stage in her life. She felt that if he was gonna step out then he should keep right on stepping.

“Damn, just like that, huh?” Pain said.

  “Straight like that,” she answered.

“Well, thanks for letting me know what I’m dealing with. Can I follow you home and give you a nice, relaxing massage. I know you need it with all these hours you’ve been working, like you’ve got a gambling debt to pay,” he said with a chuckle.

“I guess you can pamper me. That can be the first one of your I’m sorry actions,” she told him.

“As long as you’re all in, then I’m all in. My days of breaking hearts and fucking with all these random chicks are over,” he told her.

“We’ll see,” she said in response.

Connie finished gathering her stuff, and they walked out of the office together. They both were thinking the same thing, which was, this could be the start of something good for both of them.

Pain did everything he said he would do for Connie and more. He cooked while she was in the bathtub. Once she got out, the table was already set with plates of food.

“What is all this about?” she asked with a smile.

“Nothing. I just wanted to do something nice for the hardest working doctor I know. Come have a seat. I don’t know what you want to drink, so you may have to get that yourself,” he told her.

“I’m cool with that. Can I have a kiss first from my chef?” she asked in a flirty tone.

“Aye, no funny business. We’re just chilling tonight, remember?” Pain said.

Connie laughed as she walked up on him and gave him a nice, slow kiss. “I thought we were taking it slow. That wasn’t a taking it slow kiss,” he said with a smile after licking his lips.

“We can be friendly, even if we’re taking sit slow, right?” Connie said. She was all for taking it slow, but right now she wanted him to take her slow, nice, and hard. She had been stressed lately between worrying about Pain and working all her hours at the hospital. Pain was about to be her relief tonight, even if she had to tie him down and rape him.

“I cooked all this good food, and you’re being rude by not eating it,” Pain said.

“I’ll eat all my food after I work up an appetite,” she said as she slid down to her knees.

Pain was concrete hard just from the anticipation of what was about to happen. He had been pre-occupied with so many other things that the only thing he had been doing was getting head here and there from some of his hoes. That was only so he wouldn’t die from being backed up. Seeing Connie on her knees felt totally different to him. Feeling her lips kiss the tip of his dick and her tongue lick his shaft while she was looking up directly at him had him in a zone.

“Man, shit.” He moaned as she took all of him in her mouth.

Learning that she didn’t have a gag reflex made him want to shoot his kids down her throat right at that moment. He looked away from her in an effort to hold off his release.

“Hell nah, get up and turn that ass around,” he told Connie.

She looked like she was enjoying herself with her mouth filled with him, but Pain had other things in mind. She did as he asked. When she stood up and untied the little silk robe that she had on, he realized that this was all a part of her plan. He smacked her ass as she turned away from him.

“You think your ass is slick,” he said as he jammed his dick into her soaking wet pussy.

  “Ahhh,” she screamed.

Her eyes rolled and a feeling of pure pleasure took over her body as he filled her hungry hole.

“Fuck,” Pain yelled as he hurriedly pulled out of her and let his semen gather on the floor beneath them.

“The microwave works just fine. How about round two?” Connie said with a smile.

“Lead the way,” Pain told her, and they headed to the bedroom.

Laura paced back and forth while she waited for her sister to come over. She could tell there was going to be nothing but more drama with this little conversation they were about to have. A few days had passed, and she hoped that La-La had calmed down. She was about to see that her sister was in more shit than she thought she would be in behind her actions.

There was a knock on the door.

Cornelius and Laura looked at each other, wondering if the other was ready for what was on the other side of the door. Laura finally went to open the door.

“Damn,” was all she could say when she saw how her sister looked.

Her face was covered in bruises that were all at different stages of the colors purple, blue, and black. Her bottom lip was still swollen, and one of her eyes was also bruised.

“I know you didn’t think he was gonna make love to me all night long after you told him that I was the one who got him locked up,” La-La said sarcastically as she pushed her way into the house.

“I didn’t think he would take things that far. He needs his ass whipped for this shit,” Laura said, shaking her head. Her sister looked like one of the cast members of The Walking Dead.

“Well, let me get on that right quick since your ass says he needs it. I should just find some damn super powers to make things the way you want them. Maybe, if I do that, you can act like none of this is your damn fault in the first place. You should’ve kept your mouth shut, and he would still be locked up like the animal that he is,” La-La said.
r />   She was so mad at her sister that tears were cascading down her face. Not only had her sister sold her out to the devil himself, but she was standing there like she wasn’t at fault for La-La getting her ass kicked

“Other than the fighting, how has everything been?” Laura asked.

“Stop acting like you care and tell me why you called me over here in the first damn place,” La-La said.

“Are you going to have a seat?” Laura asked.

“Bitch, please. Just talk so I can go back to my little piece of hell.”

“Wait a minute. If you left on your own free will, why would you go back?” Laura asked.

“If I go back and let him get comfortable then I’ll be able to kill his ass. Once he gets the idea that I’m some weak ass bitch like my sister, then I’ll kill his ass and get the fuck out of town. I don’t even know why I told you that. You’re just gonna use it against me in the long run. I guess you’re hoping I will kill Mike-Mike before Murder kills you, huh?” La-La asked with a giggle.

“Murder isn’t gonna kill me. He loves my daughter,” Laura said with confidence.

“He loves her enough to kill your hateful ass just to make her happy,” La-La said.

“Are y’all just gonna keep doing this back and forth shit? We don’t have time for this shit. Both of y’all can be dead next week, and y’all talking about dumb shit,” Cornelius fussed.

“I wasn’t trying to shoot Murder. I was going for Mike-Mike. Until seeing him with that gun on Lawrynn, I thought I was doing the right thing by giving him the information to get him out. He was in jail for something he didn’t do. I was just trying to correct a wrong,” Laura explained.

“What about all the damn wrongs you’ve done? You can cut the bullshit. You just wanted the heat off your ass so you put me on front street. You don’t give a shit about anybody but your ass, so spare me the fake ass compassion,” La-La said.
