Can't Stop the Love of A Boss 3 Page 6
“Your ass just can’t say thank you?” Laura asked.
“Do you see me standing here looking like I’m a survivor of a plane crash right now? If you want a thanks for that, then thank you a fucking lot,” La-La countered.
Cornelius was tired of hearing all this bullshit. Laura said she wanted to get things out in the open with her sister, but it looked like she just wanted to argue. He should’ve known that there was something else on Laura’s mind.
“You said you wanted to put all your cards on the table before the meeting tomorrow. Are you gonna do that or are you just trying to fuss and argue with the crash test dummy here?” he asked.
“Fuck you, Corn. How does ya little girlfriend feel about you jumping through hoops for ya baby mama? I’m saying, you know she’s got a price on her head, and you’re still helping her,” she said with a smirk.
“Don’t worry about my shit. You need to take some classes on ducking,” Cornelius retorted.
“Say what you gotta say. I have to beat Mike-Mike back to the room,” La-La said.
“Okay, so you already know most of the shit I’ve done in my day. I just need to tell you that Mike-Mike and I used to fuck around while y’all were together. I didn’t want that to come out tomorrow night because I’m sure Murder and them know some things about me that they’re not supposed to know. They’re gonna try to turn you against me. We need to have a united front,” she said.
La-La was finally tired of all the shit that her sister had put her in and through. She punched her sister right in the eye with her left hand. Her right hand grabbed Laura by the hair and brought her face down to her knee with so much force you could hear a bone crack. Laura tried to recover and hit her sister with a right hook. From that point on, they were exchanging blows while Cornelius sat and watched.
“Corn, why the hell are you just letting them fuck up my house like this?” Queen came from the bedroom and asked.
She was tired of sitting in the bedroom while he helped Laura’s ass out of this mess that she had gotten herself in.
“Go back to the fucking room, Queen. I keep telling you to stay out of this shit,” Cornelius argued.
“They’re fucking up my house, nigga. This shit doesn’t have your name on it. Break this shit up, or I’m gonna put an end to all this shit,” she threatened.
“What the fuck is that supposed to mean?” he asked.
The crashing sound of a piece of glass hitting the floor made him look away from Queen. She took that opportunity to go to the room and make a phone call. She was tired of all this shit. Since Laura came to the house there had been people constantly in and out of the house. She dialed a number and waited for the person on the other end to answer the call.
“Hello,” the voice answered.
“Ms. Ella, this is Queen. I need to speak to Jimmy. It’s real important,” she said.

Mike-Mike walked into the barbershop, hoping that approaching Murder in his place of business would work in his favor. He knew that him holding the gun on Lawrynn and interrupting the party wasn’t a well thought out plan. This time, he felt like he needed to talk to him man to man. He knew he was playing with his life by doing this, but it was either talk to Murder as a man face to face or be on the run until one of them got tired or caught a bullet. He took a deep breath before getting out of the car. He tried to ignore the stares and snickers from the people outside of the barbershop as he walked in.
“Yo, is Murder here today?” Mike-Mike said.
“Who the fuck are you?” one of the barbers asked.
“Either he’s here or he’s not, youngblood,” he replied.
“You gotta have some big ass balls to be coming in here like I won’t kill your ass and have these motherfuckers move your body,” Murder said from the back of the barbershop.
Everyone stopped and looked up.
“I came to explain some things,” Mike-Mike said.
“You’re just like the rest of them motherfuckers; backwards as fuck. You should’ve been explaining shit before you posted up at my party,” Murder said.
“Are you gonna let me say my peace or not?” Mike-Mike asked.
“Shop is closed ’til tomorrow. Everybody get the fuck out,” Murder said, looking only at Mike-Mike.
“Man, Murder, I got a date tonight,” one guy said as his barber took the haircutting cape off him.
“Wear a fucking hat,” Murder replied.
No one else said anything. They all exited the barbershop, leaving Mike-Mike and Murder standing where they were. Mike-Mike looked around like he was nervous all of a sudden. His sense of security left with all the witnesses that had just walked out the door.
“Talk,” Murder said as he slid his hands in the pockets of his jeans.
“I wanna apologize for how that night turned out. It wasn’t my intention to get you shot,” he started to explain.
“You interrupt my girls party with a gun to her back, but you didn’t want anybody to get hurt? Yeah, that’s a real G way to do shit. It must be something in the fucking water y’all were drinking because every time I talk to one of y’all, I swear I get dumber than y’all,” Murder said.
“I just wanna apologize. I was just pissed at how everything went down with my baby mama locking me up and shit,” Mike-Mike said and shifted his stance from his left foot to his right. He was trying to read Murder’s next move while still trying to appear as if he had it all together.
“Come on to my office so we can talk,” Murder said then turned to open the door to his office.
Slowly, Mike-Mike walked into the office. As he was about to sit down in one of the empty chairs, he felt the cold steel of the barrel of a gun pressed to the back of his head.
“I’m not a man who works off emotion, but right now I’m happy as fuck that I didn’t have to come find your ass,” Murder said just before pulling the trigger and exposing Mike-Mike’s brains to the air-conditioned atmosphere of his office.
The body hit the floor with a loud thump. Murder looked down to see that some blood splatter was left on his shoes. “Damn I just got these shits customized,” he complained as he called his uncle.
“I was about to call you, nephew,” Uncle Jimmy said.
“I got a problem with my carpet, Unc. This shit is dirty as fuck. It needs to be replaced ASAP,” Murder said, speaking in code.
“What the hell you spill on the carpet on your first day back?” Uncle Jimmy asked.
“Some fucking red Kool-Aid. I keep telling these bitches about bringing their bad ass kids in here eating and drinking shit,” Murder said.
“Okay, I’m on my way. I’ll tell you my news when I get there,” Uncle Jimmy said before ending the call.
Uncle Jimmy shook his head as he tried to figure out who the hell Murder had killed. Killing somebody today wasn’t part of the plan, but shit happens. He sped through the streets of Norfolk trying to get to the barbershop without catching the eye of the police. Hopefully, they were all somewhere eating fucking donuts.
Once he pulled up to the shop, he jumped out of the car and noticed that everyone was gone from the shop in the middle of the day.
“Murder, where the fuck you at, nephew?” Uncle Jimmy called out as he walked into the shop.
“I’m in here,” Murder called out.
Uncle Jimmy came back to the office to see Mike-Mike’s dead body on the floor.
“What the hell happened? What did he want? I wasn’t expecting him to be the problem with the carpet,” he told Murder.
“He came to talk, I guess. How the fuck am I supposed to know what he wanted? He wasn’t trying to talk when he had the gun on Lawrynn, so why the fuck he wanna talk now? Fuck all that. If you ask me, it’s too many people walking around this motherfucker that don’t need to be,” Murder complained.
“You just can’t go around killing folks and shit. I thought you grew out of that shit,” Uncle Jimmy said. Uncle Jimmy took his phone out and sent a text message. “The cl
eanup boys will be here in a few. Is there anything you wanna talk about?” He asked Murder.
“No, ain’t shit to discuss, Unc,” Murder said.
“Who else you planning to kill, nephew?” Uncle Jimmy asked. Murder just gave him a crazy look. They both knew who was on Murder’s list. “You can’t kill the girl’s family if you plan on marrying her soon. If you kill them all, who’s gonna sit on her side of the church?” Uncle Jimmy asked.
“Look, they should’ve thought about that shit a long time ago. The only reason they keep doing shit is because nobody has checked their asses. All that is about to fucking stop. What did you have to tell me when I called you?” Murder asked. He wasn’t gonna budge on his thoughts about killing Lawrynn’s family, so he changed the subject.
“I got a call from Queen. she said that Corn has Laura at their house. We can go over there and get them or just wait until the meet up. It’s all up to you,” Uncle Jimmy said.
“I’ll let you know what I wanna do when the guys get here. Truthfully, I want to get this shit over with. Fuck waiting.”
Murder just wanted to have peace and quiet in his life. He knew that as long as the drama sisters were alive, that wouldn’t happen. Law-Baby deserved it and more in his eyes, and he was going to give it to her, even if he had to kill to do it.

“Are you ready to do this?” Nell asked Lawrynn as she drove through the city heading to the Regional Jail in Portsmouth.
Nell had been thinking about this day since Lawrynn had called and told her that they were going to see Nikki. She wasn’t going to let her cousin go through this alone, so she gladly told her that she would ride with her today.
“Not really, but it has to be done. I’m so tired of drama and bullshit. I used to be upset that my life was so boring before now. After all this, I’ll gladly take my boring life back,” she told Nell.
Lawrynn was serious about what she just said. All the bullshit going on was making her life a living hell.
“It’s a good thing that you have Murder to help you get through it all. I know if you didn’t have him, you would’ve gone crazy a long time ago,” Nell said.
“Do you think she’ll even care that we’re sisters? I know you can’t go back and change the past, but knowing all that she did just makes it worse. My sister was fucking my man behind my back for years. They could’ve had a child together. Now I’m all in love with my ex’s best friend. We all chill together, well we did,” she said.
“Pain ain’t fucking with y’all no more like that?” Nell asked.
She had been home and not answering the phone, so she didn’t know about anything that had gone down in the last few days. Lawrynn gave her the run down on everything including the meeting they were set to have.
“Bitch, we saw Lamelle when we went to lunch the other day. He pulled Allen outside talking about he wanted a meeting too. They got us all fucked up if they think that they’re gonna have this meeting without us. Especially you. Everything is mostly about you, anyway. You should be able to speak for yourself and dictate what happens to your mother and those tacky ass brothers of yours. We going to that fucking meeting,” Nell told Lawrynn.
They pulled into the parking lot of the jail and looked around. Taking a deep sigh in unison as if it was planned, they looked at each other and laughed.
“You should be my sister instead of Nikki,” Lawrynn said.
“I’ll say I already am. It’s not like any of us fucked with her like that in the first place. She may be new to the sister situation, but she’s always been a jealous ass bitch. I hope you don’t think y’all are going to be okay after this,” Nell said.
“We’ll never be chill toward each other. I almost died from that shit she did. I know you’re supposed to forgive, but I’m not there yet,” Lawrynn honestly said.
When they got into the jail, they had to go through the process that everyone hates. The pat downs were always the worst part. Lawrynn always felt like she was being groped or felt up instead of being searched for weapons or contraband. She had to bite her tongue when she felt the guard squeeze her behind just a bit too much.
“Are you finished yet?” she asked the guard with an attitude.
“Yeah, you’re good, babygirl,” the guard said. He looked at her like he was thinking of nasty things to do to her.
Lawrynn just rolled her eyes at him because she knew he was full of shit. There was usually a female guard there to pat her down. Now, all of a sudden there wasn’t a female guard available to pat her down, so he had to do it. How fucking convenient, is what Lawrynn thought. She knew this would be her last time coming to the jail unless Murder ended up in one.
“Have a seat in the common area. The prisoners are on the way down now,” he said before licking his crusty ass lips.
“That nasty fucker needs his ass beat. Did you see him feel me up?” Lawrynn asked Nell.
“I damn sure did. I even hit Allen off with his name and shit before I put my phone and shit in the locker. He at least needs to get knocked the hell out for all that extra shit he’s was doing,” Nell said seriously.
“Thanks for always having my back, cousin,” Lawrynn said just before Nikki sat down on the other side of the small cubicle.
“I didn’t expect to see you here,” Nikki said with a smile on her face.
“This isn’t a social visit. I came to get some things off my chest. I also wanted you to see that even though you tried to blind me, I can see your shiesty ass clear as day. Even though you felt like you won that day you sprayed that shit in my face, you really lost. You need to know that you’re not my cousin. You’re my sister. Our mother gave you to Auntie to raise because she thought that would make my daddy stay after she cheated on him. I guess you know where you get the burning desire to please a man from. So, not only did you constantly fuck your sister’s boyfriends, but you got knocked up by one. As for you trying to get at Murder, that was one thing I was never concerned about. You may think that you’re hood royalty, but you’re just some convenient coochie. Now that you’re in here, you’re just a convenient Lunchable with legs. I bet they’re having a field day with your ass. You don’t have to lie, sneak, or steal for a nut anymore,” Lawrynn said.
“Sisters? So, Auntie Laura is my mama? Who’s my daddy? Why didn’t she come up here and tell me herself?” Nikki asked, trying to grasp the whole situation. “Who told you that?” Nikki asked.
“Our mother finally told the truth when my dad popped back up in town. I don’t know who your dad is because she never said his name. We barely got the truth out of her about you being her child,” Lawrynn said.
“Who were the people I had to go visit during the summer?” Nikki asked with tears in her eyes. “If they weren’t family, that means I didn’t have to go there. They all let me go anyway,” she said as tears started to fall.
“You should’ve said something. You took your pain and anger out on us, and we didn’t have shit to do with anything you were going through. Did you really think that sleeping with our boyfriends or guys we were dating was gonna help you get the help you needed?” Nell asked.
“At first I tried just to see if I could do it. After the first time, the rest was easy. Out of all the boyfriends y’all had, Murder and Allen are the only ones I didn’t fuck or suck. You two were the goody goodies. If I took something of yours, I was good. For a small amount of time, I was better than both of y’all. Pain was supposed to be the one who broke you to the point that you would live an unhappy life forever,” Nikki said.
The lack of emotion in her eyes and the hate that laced her voice made the hairs one the back of Lawrynn’s neck rise.
“You are a hateful bitch to the core. I’m sitting here telling your ass that we are blood sisters and you tried to fucking kill me, and all you have to say is that you wanted my to be unhappy in life. Are you fucking serious right now? When you get back to that dingy ass cot that you’re sleeping on I hope you choke on your spit and die, bitch,” Lawrynn
said.
Nikki laughed and started clapping. She looked between the two of them on the other side of the glass.
“You don’t have anything to say, or should I say perform? Just like Lawrynn, you love being the center of attention,” Nikki said to Nell.
“Nope,” Nell said, making sure to make the popping sound for the end of the word. “Your bitter ass just better be glad that this thick ass piece of glass and all these fucking cops are here to stop me from beating the shit out of you. Lawrynn is the talker; you should remember that when you try to pop off over this way. Ain’t shit changed with us. You’re still the hoe ass cousin in my book. I just came for her, not your ass. Don’t sit over there getting all cocky and shit. Remember, your dumb ass is in jail, not us. You gotta fuck hot dogs and sausages and shit while we’re out here living our best life and riding on two dicks that didn’t fall for your public pussy ass,” Nell said, still sitting at the table talking calm as ever.
“Fuck you,” Nikki told her.
“No thanks, hoe,” Nell said and gave her the middle finger.
“Are you done here? Y’all could’ve stayed home instead of coming to talk to me about all this bullshit. You’re my sister, whoopty fucking do. Ain’t nothing changed. Sorry, not sorry, sis,” Nikki said.
“I hope and pray that you suffer while you’re in this damn place. I wish you would get gang raped by a bunch of built, bearded bitches. You’re too fucking evil to admit you’re wrong or say you’re sorry for the shit that you’ve done. I would say god bless your soul, but instead, I’ll say I know the devil has your spot saved at his dinner table. Stupid ass hoe,” Nell said. She was tired of being there with Nikki not even showing the smallest amount of remorse for what she did. “I’ll be in the car,” she said as she stomped her way out of the visiting area.
“You’re still here?” Nikki asked Lawrynn.
